Box Man

As I was looking around my craft room I realized I had yet to use my Box Builder Punch Board. So, today was the day! :)

I just love these punch boards. So easy to use! How cute is this Snow Man Box?? A little twist on the traditional gift box. I used some ribbon scraps I had laying around for the scarf and hat band. Then jus cut a triangle for the nose.

Celebrate the Season

Its been a little while since I participated in a blog hop so  took a peek at the What Will You Stamp blog. This weeks set was Lovely as a Tree. This was the absolute first Stampin' Up! set I ever purchased so I just had to participate!!

I added dazzling details to the trees to make it appear like snow.

I took a second picture to show the dazzling details I added to the trees but its hard to see it.

Joy to the World Snowflurry

Did you purchase the spider web doilies? Now that October and Halloween are over are you having trouble with what to do with them? I love Halloween so much that I could make Halloween cards at least three times a week all year long, but I know not everyone feels the same. I was looking at the doilies and thinking, what else could I do with these suckers?? Then..... I flipped it over. Oh the possibilities!! :)

Snowflakes!! How perfect is that with winter upon us? I wanted to use up some of my paper scraps so Im not too sure what colors exactly are on this card as far as blue paper goes. If I had to make a guess, I would say Marina Mist and Soft Sky but to be completely honest they may not be Stampin' Up! colors at all, I know the printed vellum in the background is not and was purchased at JoAnn. I also ended up using the Arctic Snowflake punch by Martha Stewart as I haven't bought the Snow Flurry punch yet. Either way, I like how this turned out. Stay tuned for more out of the box spider web doily ideas ;)

Merry Everything

I had the Wondrous Wreath Framelits out from my last card so I decided to use them today, or at least that's what I had planned when I started this card. Its funny how you start out with one idea in your head and some how along the way you end up going in a totally different direction. Oh well, I'm still happy with the end result and really, that's all that matters :)

I'm pretty happy with how my water coloring came out. Especially since I had to do it with my left hand. Only a few mistakes ;) This would be a pretty quick and simple card if you needed a bunch. The water coloring took the longest and it didn't even take that long. Although I'm sure it would go much quicker if I was able to use my right hand. 5 more weeks..... :-/

Greatful Wreath

Well, once again its been a while since I last posted. I've been super busy with life and just hadn't had time. I broke my hand a week ago and just got the cast on Wednesday. So...  I should have some free time now lol. I'm off work till it heals and I most certainly cant do anything with the horses so I have plenty of time for creating! The problem, you may ask? Its my right hand, and I'm a righty :(
I took some time yesterday to play around a bit and see what I could, and couldn't, do. I think, overall, Ill be ok. :)

As I was looking around at my mess of a craft room, I seen a pile of stamp sets I had ordered but hadn't used yet. Among them was the Wondrous Wreath set. I figured it was the perfect place to start.

I  used the matching framelits to cut out the wreath and bow then fussy cut the banner. Not too bad for a casted hand and only the use of two fingers :)
